ISTAR TESTBED
Defence Consultancy (DC) has provided experimentation facilities such as operational systems to enable Visualisation, Pilots and Experiments. EDS primes the Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition and Reconnaissance (ISTAR) testbed which is the experimentation service for the cohesive development of ISTAR capability.
The role of the ISTAR testbed is to rehearse, using a number of experiments, the coordinated application of current and future ISTAR capabilities so that we can develop more effective CONOPS and supporting architectures.
DC is also involved in the Network Integration and Experimentation Works (NITEworks). This is an experimental environment that allows the UK MoD to assess the benefits of Network Enabled Capability and the options for its effective and timely delivery.
NITEWORKS
NITEworks is a partnership between the MoD and the defence industry rather than the traditional and more formal customer / supplier relationship. This unique arrangement allows NITEworks to draw upon the widest possible range of specialist skills, information and facilites in addressing problems set by the MoD. EDS is a full partner having active involvement with the NITEworks Industry Board.

DEEDS
Defence Experimentation and Enterprise Development Services (DEEDS) Defence concept and capability consulting services to the training, procurement, research, procedures & doctrine development markets.
EDS have created a centre of excellence for Business Process Management (BPM), Capability Management and Integration services. Capability, concept, process and doctrine consultancy coupled with an Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) and Data Fusion environment to assist in the rapid development of integrated business services for the future Network Enabled Defence Enterprise.
