Military Personnel Lifecycle Management differs significantly from its civilian equivalent. The Armed Forces have to be trained internally to perform functions; conducted under a strict security regime, that have no civilian equivalent. It provides a vital assessment of military capability or readiness states and encompasses recruiting, individual training, pay, active service, discharge and pensions. The administration and care of veterans is often included. In its direct support for the UK ATRA and AFPAA defence agencies, EDS has an unique understanding of these functions and can import additional expertise from similar relationships with the United States Department of Defense.
