EDS Czech Republic

EDS has been providing information technology services in the Czech Republic since 1994. The operation started with the global GM contract supporting Opel sites throughout the Czech Republic. For the Opel project, the EDS delivery team managed and maintained applications, computers and network infrastructure, and upgraded technologies across many IT outsourcing services. EDS in the Czech Republic gradually attracted other clients and extended its service portfolio.

With more than 100 system and application engineers and IT specialists, EDS today offers the Czech market Integrated Application Services focusing on offerings such as Business Intelligence Services, Portals and Dashboards Services, Web Services and Enterprise Integration Services. Additional capabilities include Programme and Project Management (PPM), Testing, Legacy Development and Management, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM).

Primarily EDS Czech Republic serves the following industries: government, manufacturing/automotive, retail, financial services, and communications.

EDS' most significant project in the Czech Republic is providing Staff Information System delivery for the Czech Ministry of Defence. Additionally we provide Asset Management, Incident Management, Workstations Remote Control and Asset Maintenance to the Czech Army and some NATO European locations.

Projects for the Czech Republic administration and government require EDS' cooperation with the National Security Office. We obtained company security clearance level "Secret" according to the Law 412/2005 Coll.

In 1998, the Central European Solution Center (CESC) was opened as part of the global network of EDS solution centres. The Solution Centre in the Czech Republic is part of the organization providing application development and maintenance services in 11 countries of the Northern and Central Europe. Our center provides cost effective and high quality systems and technical services to EDS operation units across Europe. It also serves as Java Centre of Expertise. Approximately 70% of our developers have JAVA certification.

We use our next-generation global delivery system and EDS Best Shore strategy to ensure high-quality, cost-competitive services are provided from the optimal mix of onshore, near-shore and offshore locations. This enables our clients to respond quickly to changing market dynamics and increase their competitiveness.
